I've been off of work since Monday, and tomorrow we're leaving for San Diego Comic Con! I've never been before, so I'm super excited and also a little overwhelmed at the sheer amount of things to do. Just returned from Colorado Whitewater's yearly training camp for kayakers, held on the Arkansas river near Cotopaxi, CO! I took skills/drills classes for advanced beginners and learned a lot, got a little bruised from all the rocks I ran into (the Arkansas river is running low, so it was a bony ride), and had a great time, despite being scared out ( Read more... )

Tomorrow I will be off to Utah, to do some camping and hiking in Arches National Park and Canyonlands. I've never been to Utah (driving through Salt Lake City on my way from Seattle to Denver does not count) and I've never been hiking or camping in a desert-y area (only woodsy areas), so I'm excited to do something new.
